Ayesha Takia would like to be remembered as...

Ayesha Takia would like to be remembered as the cleanest actress in Bollywood. She has reportedly refusing roles that necessitates her to wear revealing and skimpy clothes and even refusing to do intimate scenes with co-stars.

Speaking to the media, Ayesha Takia said, "There're things that I wouldn't do, like kiss and wear certain kinds of clothes. I don't mind losing out on roles. At least 10 years from now I don't want to look back and cringe at anything. I've a family and a boyfriend. And I don't want to embarrass anyone." Ayesha further added, "I'm very happy with the work that I'm getting and I'm being taken seriously as an actress," said the self-styled virtuous actress.

Shahid Ayesha and Nana in Paathshala IndiaFM

The renowned Choreographer cum Director Ahmed Khan, has now turned Producer with his film Paathshala. The film will be co-produced by his wife Shaira Khan and will be directed by Milind Uke. "Paathshala revolves around kids and is set in the school campus. It has actors like Shahid Kapur, Nana Patekar, Ayesha Takia in essential characters. The film has child artists like Swini Khare (Cheeni Kum), Ali Haji (Partner) and Dwij Yadav (Nanhe Jaisalmer) in pivotal roles." informs Ahmed Khan. There was a buzz that Shahid Kapoor is only doing a cameo in the film, however, Ahmed clears the rumor. "Shahid is not doing a cameo, it is a character role. He plays a teacher who teaches English and Music. Nana Patekar is playing the role of the Principal, and Ayesha Takia is a teacher who looks into the extra curricular activities. Besides them, there is Sushant Singh and Saurabh Shukla in the film as well," says Ahmed Khan. One of the interesting facts about the film is that it will mark the come back of well-known child artist, Sunny Singh, who was seen in the famous tv serial, Dekh Bhai Dekh, as Shekhar Suman's son. "Yes, amongst all the kids, Sunny Singh (who had earlier played the child artist in English Babu Desi Mem) who would be doing one of the prominent roles in the film, along with Shraddha. The story also has the plot of a school kid played by Mehnaaz, who falls in love with her teacher (Shahid)", adds Ahmed. The shooting of the film is wrapped up. "We are now in the post production stages and the dubbing is to be done." Talking about the music, Ahmed says, "Hanif, who had earlier composed the music for the song Shakirave Shakira in my directorial film, Fool N Final, has composed the music for Paathshala. Since all the songs are very script-driven, there is no special choreography done for it, I have done that only partially. The four songs in the film only help to take the story further." "Paathshala is an entertaining film with a big social message," signs off Ahmed. From : http://sify.com/movies/bollywood/fullstory.php?id=14650385

Ayesha Takia to tie knot in January 2009 Oct 3, 2008

Seems Ayesha Takia’s ultimatum is finally paying off. The Takia cutie who’s planning to tie the knot with beau Farhan Azmi in January 2009, has told all her nirmatas and nirdeshaks that they should wrap up their movies by the year end.. and not to expect any dates from her after the shaadi. So rakhi-brother Nagesh Kukunoor is jetting off to South Africa later this month with Ayesha for 20 days. No, they are not on a recce for honeymooning locations. They are just in a hurry to seal Eight by Ten. Never mind that this shoot was initially set in Canada. The backdrop has changed after a disastrous first schedule there. What are cinematic liberties for? The film’s hero Akshay Kumar will join them directly.. after he completes Kambakht Ishq in Venice. Fortunately for Kukunoor, Akki has been able to squeeze his film into his rush-rush schedule. Or the film would have been lost in the cans. Now that only leaves Boney Kapoor’s Wanted – Dead and Alive. The bechara nirmata is waiting for his hero Salman Khan to spare him some dates.. to shoot the two remaining songs in Greece. Last heard, Kapoor was planning a trip to London, to beg at Sallu’s darbar.. before Ayesha goes on a non-cooperation movement.
